In addition to Formosa Transport Corporation, Formosa Fairway Corporation, and Formosa Petrochemical Transportation Corporation which operate internal transportation on the island, in 1981 we established the first chemical carrier fleet in Taiwan. To meet the needs of transportation of chemical to and from the No.6 Naphtha Cracking project and to deliver coal to the company's power plant, we operate a fleet of 31 large self-propelled vessels comprising 6 highly advanced chemical carriers, 5 oil and chemical dual use carriers, 4 product oil carrier , 4 crude oil carriers ranging from 280,000 to 300,000 tons, 6 bulk carriers ranging from 60,000 to 170,000 tons, 3 LPG carriers, 3 container carriers and two sand suction ship, forming a big self-owned fleet of 33 vessels.
